Out of The Abyss- Margot Van Sluytman

out of the abyss

We set sail on this voyage,
Betimes tasting bitter bile
That rises in our souls
For melancholy sidles
In beside us.
Weary Weary, worn, and
Weathered, we forget
Our might and mettle.
One soft breeze
Flows forth. All
Begins to form.
As if anew.
A genesis of
Plenty. Out of
The abyss hearts
Script a revived
Doctrine. What
Was once invisible,
Now we see.
And Fertile purpose
Swells each new
Dawning day.
